Dragon Art
Year 5 spent two days working with artist Anne Dixon, to create miniature dragons based on the dragon Smaug, from The Hobbit. The children have been reading the hobbit and looking at the different representations of Smaug. They used these ideas and descriptions to make their own dragons and to create a large dragon out of chicken wire. They had to think carefully about the tools, techniques and the scale of the different sized dragons.
