Y3 went back about 2.6 million years to examine life in the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We were able to examine the distinctive time periods known as the Palaeolithic Period, Mesolithic Period and Neolithic Period. Y3 had the opportunity to observe and compare a range of artefacts; looking at some of the first tools used by humans. These were amongst the earliest pieces of evidence discovered. This gave us the opportunity to look at how life was in the past and consider how tools and people have developed into the modern time we live in.
