As children move up from KS1 to KS2 they are expected to take on more responsibility for their own learning. Year 3 will be an exciting year for the children as they take on challenges and acquire new skills to allow them to be the best that they can be.
In year 3 children will have a full week to complete each piece of homework, giving them ample time to seek help if they need to:
Monday - Maths
Tuesday - English
Wednesday - Comprehension
Thursday - Science
Friday - SPAG & Spellings
All PE kits are to be brought into school each Monday morning and left for the week. They should be taken home every Friday, washed and returned the following Monday.
Children should attend school everyday and on time (unless they are ill). The school day begins at 8.50am where children are set 'tasks' to complete as the register is taken. School ends at 3.15pm.
The homework diary is an essential part of your child's organisation. By getting used to using the diary efficiently, it will not only support your child this year, but also help them be fully prepared for their journey throughout KS2 and beyond.
I am looking forward to working with all the parents and children in year 3 over the next academic year.
See you in September!
