Welcome to Year 6. This year you have already faced many challenges and more should be expected as we prepare for your SATs exams. It is important that you take responsibility for your own learning by working hard, trying your best and staying organised, so that homework and revision are completed on time. You should recognise that things will not always be easy, but demonstrating resilience and perseverance towards learning will ensure you make the most of your education so you can acheive your full potential. It will all be worth it!
Despite the challenging journey that lies ahead, Year 6 will also be a fanstasic, rewarding school year with many exciting plans!
It is extremely important for your learning that you stay organsied ,so that homework is completed and handed in on time.

Tuesday: SPaG homework- to be handed in on Thursday
Tuesday:Spellings homework and test - to be handed in the following Tuesday

It is expected that children read, every night, to an adult at home. The book should be discussed so that you can support your child with what they have read.
Children do not bring in a PE Kit. On the day that your child has PE they should wear clothes that are suitable for an outdoor PE lesson.
Below are some links to websites that are useful to revise from:
The Y6 page has links to practise both English and Maths skills. Pages are then split into skills of which has a practise question for the children to think about.
A site with both Maths and English based quizzes which are marked as you go along.
A website where children can select a game to practise their spellings.
