Year 6 have been working extremely hard this year, so they had a day at Southern Washlands. They learnt how to respect one another and listen to team captains. The teams were tasked with creating their own fires using tinder and wood. They were also asked to create suitable shelters using the wood they could find and chop themselves. They learnt how to use tools appropriately including knives and axes. They also learnt how to work together to reach a desired outcome. The day ended with a splash in muddy puddles and some games. Everyone in Y6 came and all had a fantastic time. Here are a selection of images, please visit Y6's homepage for the full set.
