Activity 3: Read the example of the 'Hero Twins' narrative based on Maya beliefs. Can you write a narrative based on the Hero Twins story, but with a twist? A different ending perhaps? A different problem?

The Maya lived in rainforests. What was it like?
Complete this comprehension about rainforests and then use the information you have found out about rainforests to write an information text- again present this however you wish - all about them!
In preparation for returning to school, complete this comprehension on Extinction Rebellion. As you know, the Ancient Maya lived in Rainforests and thousands of animals and indigenous people live there still today. Therefore, we will be doing some persuasive writing all about deforestation. Do the costs outweigh the benefits? Should deforestation end?
Go to BBC bitesize and read all about why farming was so important to the Ancient Maya.
You can do further research if you wish. After your research, I want you to present all that you have learned. This could be a powerpoint, word document poster, writing pictures or drawings. This is completely up to you. I can't wait to see some!
