Read chapter 1 and 2 of the Letters from the Lighthouse, when you collect it- ONLY CHAPTER 1& 2 dont even take a sneak peek!
Now you must answer the questions on the class blog.
Answers will be available tomorrow.
Maths – Converting Time Measurements (all in blank book)
First warm your brains up like we do in class by completing the times table worksheet:

Now complete this worksheet and mark afterwards. Self-assess (traffic light like in class) how you felt about this on the class blog - you will find a post specific to this to comment on.

Here are some challenges to stretch yourself - remember challenging work and practise makes your neural pathways stronger!

Geography (lined book)
In History we started the Ancient Maya and looked at where they lived. During the last home learning, you looked at creating a timeline, about farming and the food they ate. You also looked at what it was like to live in a rainforest. Now I want to build on that knowledge and I want you learn about, draw, label and describe the different layers of the rainforest.

English (lined book)
Now that you have built up your knowledge of the rainforest and it’s different layers, I now want you to look at this video and use your excellent vocabulary to write a description of the rainforest… We can use these when we are back at school to produce some fantastic stories based on the Ancient Maya.
Here you will find the video for the rainforests to inspire you:

Here you will find a planning sheet and our writing assessment checklist to ensure you have all features of writing in your work:

Next week, we will meet on Teams and some of you can read your work to the rest of the class and we can help each other make progress with our writing.
