Upper Foundation- William's Castle workshop

During the workshop the children explored the medieval Sandal Castle that at the time belonged to Lord John. The children found out what life was like in a medieval castle and discovered this through many learning opportunities such as; story- telling, dress- up and art. Children were asked to create a shield design that would tell people something about them. They listened to and participated in a story which related to the day in the life of a servant boy William at Sandal Castle. The children sequenced the story using images.
