On Friday 12th May 2017, Year 5 took part in a Science themed day. They worked in groups of 7 to create their own projects. We started the day by discussing what they knew and what they would like to know about Space and Our Solar System. Then, they were given iPads and useful weblinks to research their chosen question. Once they had their notes on their chosen topic, they were given time to work as a team to create a list of jobs everyone would do and the materials needed to do so. They were asked to utilise everyone's skills in their team. Some children created blog post (See Y5 blogs), some made animations, some made art projects and some created writing or Maths projects. Then they were asked to present their work to the rest of the class and give each other feedback using the 2 positives and a step forward format. Every child was expected to take part and everyone did. They all had fun whilst learning and worked together well. Please see our videos for children's presentations and work.
