Phase 3 phonics.
Starter- recap our phase 3 sounds using the sound mat below.
Task- Real and nonsense words. Children should look at the words below and write them in their lined books using sound buttons to find all the sounds in each word. Once this is done, read the words.
Task- Children to read the phase 3 sentences below. Children should recognise the sounds in the words before reading them. Challenge children by picking a word and asking- what sounds can you see?
