WALT- Use the blends 'gl' and 'gr' 

Starter- Recap our phase 3 sounds using the sound mat below. It is very important to recap our sounds everyday to develop fluency in reading and writing and progress!

Task- First we will be focusing on the blend 'gl' read the sound together and look at the 2 letters that make this sound! Now look in your home learning pack and find the first sheet which looks like the one below.

Read all the 'gl' words at the top, sounding them out carefully. Once you have done this, you need to match the words to the pictures and write the word, spelt correctly, underneath the pictures in the long box. Do this for all the words. On the back on the page, see if you can put 3 of these words in sentences! 

2. Read the next phonics sheet in your home learning pack with the 'gl' and 'gr' sounds. Read the whole post card and underline all the different words you can find with our 'gl' and 'gr' sounds in. See if you can find them all and read the post card independently.
