Mining Day
Year 2 had a fantastic day being Victorian Coal miners. They chipped the coal face, moved the coal in sacks up and down the banking, delivered and weighed coal for different types of buildings and dragged heavy carts through the damp tunnels. They all needed a hot bath when they got home but they loved every minute of the day and got some super ideas for their writing.
