Maths & computing * scroll to the bottom if you are in school and/or unable to do the below task.
To practise the work you have done so far in measurement, I want you to see how useful those skills really are! Time for some cooking or baking. I won’t set a particular recipe as you can cook or bake anything you wish! A simple idea with some common ingredients could be pancakes.
You should have to do some measuring and weighing for your baking/cooking and you could be EXTRA nice and help your Mums and Dads make dinner in the process!
Now here comes the computing side of it… you may have noticed my question on the blog with some opportunity for gold tokens yesterday. Well, you will write an algorithm for your baking/cooking recipe – No copying! Write this in your own words- you can present this information in your lined book.
As some of you said yesterday, a good algorithm needs to be the correct order and be very specific. Perhaps Miss Arden might attempt to follow some of your delicious recipes!
Post of dinners onto the school Facebook or onto Teams, as well as your algorithm to show everyone the great work you are doing!
Children at school or unable to do above activity (or want to do both):
I know you are unable to do the above activity whilst you are at school. Instead of this, I want you to complete this coding activity. It has a step by step guide of text based code! This si very tricky, but we will be coding a website using text based code back at school so this will be great practise in preparation for that:
