Number bonds to 10.

Starter- Worksheet one more and less. See below.

Task 1- Write your numbers to 10 in your lined books. Check children are forming numbers properly and that they are the right way.

In your maths notebooks on teams (if you can access it), or in your unlined book, please can children write all their number bonds to 10. That is 2 numbers that add together to make 10. Children should know this from school, however, if you need some resources to support this please pick 10 objects from around your house (pasta, counters, bears, pencils) and split them into 2 categories, for example below there are 10 jaffa cakes. 2 are chocolate side up and 8 are chocolate side down, that means the first number sentence is 2+8=10. I will be checking your children’s maths notebooks on teams.

Extension- number bonds to 10-part whole model work sheets. In a part whole, the top number is the total, and the two bottom numbers should add up to the total. See the example below.
