Today we will be looking at 2 different coins.

This is a 10 pence coin- 10p. How many 1ps are in 10p? Can you draw the right amount of 1ps to make 10p? (Make sure to write 1 inside the coin)

This is a 20 pence coin- 20p.

How many 1ps are in 20p? Can you draw the right amount of 1ps to make 20p? (Make sure to write 1 inside the coin)

Draw 20 cubes or 2 tens sticks.

See if you can find these 2 coins in your house and show me them on teams! In your math's book, write what is similar about these 2 coins and what is different about these coins.

Now your next task will be drawing money representations using base 10 cubes and sticks and adding them up. For example for this question i drew the money using my base 10 sticks then counted in 10s.
