WALT- Match quantities to numbers.
Starter- Write numbers to 50 in your unlined books.
Task 1- Draw the numbers below using base ten. Use squares for 1s and lines for the 10s.
For example- 6=

Task 2- Match the quantity to the amount for the pictures below. Do this by writing the number in your books and the letter with the picture that matches that amount. For example if the first number is 7 and you can see 7 stars with the letter b, write 7b.

1. False- In this question I have subtracted, not added. The answer was smaller than the numbers added together.
2. True- One less than 7 is 6.
3. True- If I have 13 pieces of pasta and I move 3 of them away, I will have 10 left.
4. False- If I takeaway 0 I don't take any away, therefore, the answer will be the same.
