Wakefield Greenhill Primary School

Enjoying, Progressing, Achieving

Inclusion and SEND

Greenhill Primary is an inclusive school, where the needs, both academically and socially and emotionally, of all pupils are met. At Greenhill all pupils have the right of entitlement to equal access, equal opportunity and equal benefit from participating in every area and aspect of the school's life. Every child is supported and expected to reach their full potential.

“The school values an immersive approach of thematic learning. This generates excitement in the learning process.” (IQM Report 2020)

“The school offers meaningful experiences to enable the children to become engaged and motivated in their work. It is through the first-hand nature of their work that children ‘switch on’ to learning.” (IQM 2019)

"Achievement is not context dependent. All children here 'have a right to lift their eyes higher... they deserve the best that can be offered' This strength communicates itself throughout all teaching and learning here. Children achieve highly. Gaps are identified and action taken. No one gives up and no one is left out. There is no 'one fits all approach'...children and staff alike progress and grow their own self-belief and their confidence. Promoting learning is the inclusive brand!" (IQM 2015)
"Aspiration and inspiration are the bedrock of Greenhill’s active and irrefutable belief systems. This school clearly provides an oasis of aspiration for its community. "  (IQM Report 2012)

Open this page to read and enjoy our school's full IQM reports that we are very proud of. The IQM process provides a complete picture of what is happening in a school in a form which is understandable to a broad audience. It allows our school to ensure we have an open, honest and humane approach to the needs of the whole school community and that we are very self-aware, through review, quality assurance and good knowledge of school data. It ensures that we actively seek maximum success for each and every learner. We have a clearly stated development agenda, an enthusiastic and supportive staff (who are dedicated to progressing learning) and motivated pupils.
