New History Topic: Ancient Greece

Before we look at Ancient Greeks, it is important for you to know where Greece is in the world and what it is like now.

WALT: understand modern Greece

1. Write in your lined book, what you already know about Ancient Greece and what you want to know about Ancient Greece.

2.Read this PowerPoint about Greece.

I want you to use the information from the powerpoint and your own research to find more information about Greece to create a fact file. We can use this information later to see how Ancient Greeks influenced modern Greece and the rest of the world.

3. Create a factfile of modern Greece

The example is at the end of the powerpoint of how you can set your work out in your lined book.  Draw the map using the coloured pencils you have been given at the top of your book and then use the questions to help you find out more about Greece.

Post an image of your work on the blog or teams.

4. Understanding important Greek vocabulary

Match the word to it's meaning in your lined books.
