WALT- Write the end of the story 'The Elephant and the Bad Baby'.
Starter- Draw a picture from the story using your memory of the book. Once you have drawn the picture, write 2 sentences about the part you chose to draw. THINK- What is happening in this part of the story? Why did you chose this part of the story?
Task- Read through your story so far, children should have written their own piece of writing now and improved it to the best of their ability. A year 1 outcome for the end of the year is that children should be able to read their own writing, so allow as much time that is needed for them to do this.
Now it is time for the end of the story to be written. You have written the beginning of your story and the problems within the book. Now you must think, how is the problem resolved? How does the story end? What characters are in this part of the story? Where is this part of the story set?
Well done for doing this piece of writing about the story! Once you have finished, grab a coloured pencil and read back through your writing, underlining all the nouns you can find!
