WALT: write an information text to learn about electricity at PowerStations
When we go back to school, we will be learning all about electricity and making our own circuits!
In preparation for this, I want you to write your own information text about a PowerStation that was very important, locally, and has some history to it = Ferrybridge PowerStation.
All my life, as soon as I stepped out of the house, I could see Ferrybridge PowerStation looming over me. There is lots of information about the PowerStation – you can use the internet to research it and how electricity is made at a powerstation, using all the features you picked out yesterday.
The link will take you to a planning sheet you can replicate in your books and the checklist you can use to help you plan.
Today you can plan the work, tomorrow you can write it up.
