WALT: write a pursuasive letter
S2S: use yesterday's work to help you and refer to the English support folder on the Y6 page for SPaG feature help
Hello all, some not so good news I hear rumours from some sources that Wakefield Council might be converting the wonderful, wildlife-filled Washlands to more housing!!!!! We cannot stand for this so tomorrow you will have to write some very persuasive letters to Wakefield Council to stop them! We cannot let what happened in Varmints happen to those poor creatures in the Washlands!
Now you will need to separate your points into paragraphs, using pursusive language to think of ideas to stop the houses being built!
See this planning sheet to help you - but you don't need to print it out simply use the headings in your book.:
Make sure you use yesterday's features to make it sure your letter is as pursuasive as can be! You will have todays English session and a session on Monday to plan and complete this letter. I will need to proof read them, so send me a picture and I will send some off to the council.
