Creating a Wonderful Wormery
As part of their Science lessons, Year 4 have been studying food chains of animals, and their habitats. As such, Miss. Tredwell thought it would be interesting to create one in their very own class room! The children in Year 4 contributed to the wormery by collecting the materials needed for the worms’ environment from the forest in the school field. With these materials, they then filled the wormery with layers of pebbles and twigs, soil, sand and leaves to create the optimum habitat for the worms to thrive in. They could not have achieved this without the help of Mr. Keenaghan, who created the structure of our wonderful wormery.
