Cooking
Cooking is an essential part of our everyday life. At Greenhill Primary children enjoy learning culinary skills, a wide variety of cooking techniques and learn to appreciate food across every year group. For cooking lessons to be an essential part of the children's learning we implement aspects of the maths curriculum in order to improve children's understanding, progress and attainment in Maths. Teaching Maths through cooking incorporates all the five senses into the learning experience and due to it being a practical hands on lesson their understanding is enforced and are able to understand the importance of Maths in everyday life.
