WALT- Develop inferencing skills.
Starter- read the captions below independently and draw what it says. This activity is important in ensuring children are reading efficiently and understanding what they have read.
Task- Children to read the story below and answer the inferencing questions in their English books. Children to remember, when answering inferencing questions, the exact answer is not in the text. They must read between the lines and understand what the text is about to answer.

2. Why do you think Vashti is sad?
3. Where could mum, Sam and Vashti have gone camping?
4. What will they do whilst camping?
5. Where will they sleep?
6. What do you think will happen next in the story?
