On the first of four excursions led by The Hepworth Gallery, year three enjoyed a wonderful outing to Brimham Rocks last Thursday. Parents were also invited on the trip which consisted of using art skills to draw the landscape and take photographs and videos using ipads and flip cameras. Participants also had fun climbing the rocks and squeezing into small caves on the rock faces. This was a fantastic opportunity to create community cohesion; getting schools, parents and local attractions together and allowed all participants to appreciate their natural environment and surroundings. Everyone had a fantastic day and we are looking forward to our next outing to The Yorkshire Sculpture Park this week.
