As we have been looking at shapes, I thought you might like to try making Pizza Pinwheels!
These are of course a circle shape and are a big hit with the Lower Foundation children and Mrs Apperley and they are super easy to make. If I can make them, anyone can!
1 Pack of ready to roll puff pastry
Grated cheese (any)
Open out the ready to roll puff pastry onto a chopping board. Spread the pastry all over with a layer of the tomato puree. Sprinkle all over with grated cheese. Re-roll the pastry sheet and slice into round pinwheel shapes about 2 cm thick. Spread the pinwheels laid down flat onto a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180c until the pastry is puffed up and golden.
Allow them to cool for a few minutes before you enjoy eating them!
