Year 5

Welcome to the Year 5 Webpage

Year 5 is a challenging and busy year, as it is the last full year before you sit your SATs exams. It is also the year when you will start your transition to the high school. Therefore, in order to gain the most from Y5 and the opportunities it offers, please make sure you are organised and manage you time well. However, although Y5 is a very busy and challenging year, we also have a number of exciting activities and events planned! Keep checking the calendar!

Ukulele lessons

These take place every Tuesday, therefore you need to make sure your ukulele is in school on a Monday, ready for your lesson the following day.

Swimming/PE Lessons

Your swimming lessons are your PE lessons, until February half term. These will take place on a Tuesday.

Homework:

Monday: Maths- to be in for Wednesday

Tuesday: SPaG- to be in for Thursday

Wednesday: English- to be in for Friday

Thursday: No homework

Friday: Comprehension- to be in for Tuesday

Every evening - Spelling practice, reading to an adult (fill in records) and revision every other night from Maths and SPaG dictionaries.

It is vitally important that you revise regularly from your maths dictionaries, SPaG dictionary and the Y5 webpage links.
