A huge welcome to Year 3!
Year 3 is a very busy year for the children, adjusting to the routines of KS2 and continuing to make excellent progress in preparation for their future years at Greenhill. Therefore, it is extremely important that Year 3 work hard this year and are showing the right attitude towards school work and life .
Throughout the year we shall be investigating lots of interesting topics, including the Stone Age and The Romans!
Assignment due date: 12th December 2017
Mrs Allen will be working in the library every Wednesday, 12.30-1pm, to help you find information about the topic you are studying.
Year 3 must bring their PE kits to school every Monday and take them home each Friday to be washed. Year 3 are scheduled to have PE on a Thursday but please be aware that this may change at short notice.
Every Wednesday, the children in Year 3 will be heard reading on an individual basis. This is an important time for the children so it is vital that they have their current reading book in school with them everyday.
It is each child's responsibility to be organised with their homework and ensure it is handed in on time. If they need support they must see myself or Mrs Crompton in their break time on the day in-between the homework being handed out and when it is to be handed in.
Monday: Maths- to be in for Wednesday.
Wednesday: English- to be in for Friday.
Every evening - Spelling practice, reading to an adult (fill in records) and revision every other night from Maths and SPaG dictionaries.
If you have any questions or queries please don't hesitate to contact me.
