KS2 Significant Figures' Day

All pupils in KS2 spent the day dressed as a significant person who has helped shape the world we live in today. As part of this History Project, pupils had to independently research their significant person, then write a speech to deliver to the whole school, land their parents. Many of the speeches were quite moving as the 'Significant guests' explained the hardships and sacrifices they made to bring about the changes that make our world a better place to live in.

The event was attended by over a hundred famous people: Kings, Presidents, Priministers, Scientists, Freedom activists, , Sports men and women, actors, designers and so many others from history. Amongst them were; Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth 1, Queen Victoria, Martin Luther King Junior and Benazer Bhutto, to name but a few!

Afterwards the pupils were asked to consider this question 'How will the world remember you?'

We hope you enjoy look at the photos!
